Changes Coming Soon to Alt
In a few weeks, Alt will be migrating onto a new payment processor called Circle. This will enable a few new options for customers to move funds on and off our platform. For more information, please see summaries of each update below:
Alt + Circle
Alt is migrating onto a new payment processor called Circle. Working with Circle will unlock new and improved options for customers to move funds to and from their Alt Accounts.
Customers will still need to have funds available in their Alt Wallets in order to purchase cards. That said, Circle enables Wire Transfers for customers, allows customers based outside of the US to buy cards, and even unlocks paying with Cryptocurrencies via USDC (United States Dollar Coin).
Wire Payments
All customers will be able to send funds to and from their Alt Wallets via Wire Transfer. Funds wired to or from Alt will fully process in 1 business day. There is no daily limit to how much can be transferred via Wire. While deposits via Wire will be fee-free, please note withdrawal wire transfers will be subject to a $30 processing fee.
Alt will continue to support deposits and withdrawals via ACH transfer, as we always have. With this migration to Circle, the daily deposit limit will lower from $250,000 to $25,000. Alt will still offer Instant Credit functionality to all eligible banks.
International Support
With our upgraded payment options, Alt is excited to expand our offerings internationally. We’ll be starting with Canada and the UK — to date, only customers in the US have been eligible to buy and sell on the platform. Please reach out to support to learn more.
USDC
With our migration to Circle, customers will also be able to fund their accounts with the stablecoin USDC. There is no requirement to fund a wallet with USDC. We advise you to conduct your own research if you’re new to crypto and look to use USDC on Alt.
